Odisha forms advisory committee to advice State on strategy for vacciantion & tackle further COVID-19 waves

Bhubaneswar, May 15: The Odisha Government has formed a High-level Advisory Committee under the chairmanship Dr Srinath Reddy, India’s leading Public Health expert and president, Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) to advice the State on strategy for vaccination and to tackle future waves of COVID-19 pandemic.

The committee consists of eminent health care personalities like Narayan Hrudayalaya Health Group, Bangalore Dr Devi Shetty, Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai Director Dr Ramakanta Panda, eminent Gastroentrologist and president AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Dr Subrat Acharya and Dr Lalit Kant, ex-deputy ICMR Director General and eminent epidemiologist, Dr. Mrudula Phadke-eminent Pediatrician and ex-VC of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

The medical experts from Odisha – Prof. Dutteswar Hota, Principal & Dean, SCB Medical College, Prof. M R Pattnaik, HOD, Pulmonary Medicine, SCB Medical College, Prof. E. Venkat Rao, Professor Community Medicine, SUM Hospital, Dr Sanghamitra Pati, Director RMRC, Bhubaneswar, Dr Ajoy Parida, Director, ILS, Bhubaneswar – are the members of the Committee and will help in formulating the strategies suitable for the State.

DMET Dr CBK Mohanty will be the convenor of the committee.
