STF seizes leopard skin, arrests two poachers in Odisha’s Boudh district

Bhubaneswar, November 11: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch has seized a leopard skin and arrested two poachers on Wednesday following a raid near Baunsuni bridge Chhak under Baunsuni police station in Boudh district, informs the STF on Thursday.

The arrested persons have been identified as Abanikanta Kahanra and Sakinath Kahanra of Boudh district.

Acting on a tip off, the STF with the help of the Boudh Teritorial Forest Range raided near Baunsuni bridge Chhak and found a leopard skin from the possession of the two accused.

During the last one year, STF has seized as many as 20 leopard skins, 10 elephant tusks, two deer skins, six live pangolins and 15 kg pangolin scales and arrested 40 wildlife criminals as part of its special drive against the wildlife criminals and poachers.
