Koraput, January 13: In view of the rising trend in COVID-19 infection rate, the authorities of Central University of Odisha, Koraput have decided to close the university office, library and the laboratories for a period of seven days, including Saturday and Sunday with effect from Thursday.
“All teaching and non-teaching staff are directed to carry out the official work from their respective homes. Online classes will be continued,” said an university communique.
“Further decision on reopening of university will be taken after reviewing the situation,” the release added.
Vice Chancellor Prof SK Palita requested all employees and faculty members not to panic and strictly follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. Further, he advised all employees even with minimum symptoms of COVID-19 to get themselves tested.
