After two years, Odisha schools reopen for students in offline mode

Bhubaneswar, February 28: Schools for students of Classes I-VII reopened in the State on Monday, after a gap of two years.

Though the State Government had announced to resume classroom teaching from February 14, it was delayed for three-tier Panchayat election in Odisha. The schools were reopened on that day, but students were allowed from today after proper cleaning of the school premises and sanitisation.

School & Mass Education Department Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi had monitored all the pre-school opening arrangements. The schools and colleges for other higher class students have already reopened from February 7 in the State.

The schools reopened at 10 AM. In some schools, the students were welcomed by teachers through offering flowers and tika. In a school namely Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir at Sriram Nagar in Ganjam district, teacehrs were seen welcoming students offering flowers and tike.
