106 more Emergency Response Vehicles launched in Odisha

Cuttack, April 4: Special Armed Police (SAP) Special DG MK Chhabra and Special DG (Communication) AK Ray on Tuesday flagged off as many as 106 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) at the Parade Ground of OSAP 6th Battalion here with an aim to further strengthen the emergency response support system (ERSS).

People of Odisha can avail help during any kind of emergency just by dialling 112.

People may dial only a single number 112 for emergency needs related to police, fire, ambulance and other emergency in times of distress.

Earlier a total of 151 four wheelers, 97 two wheelers have been engaged for any kind of emergency services in ERSS. Now, with these additional 106 vehicles, ERSS would be more strengthened and more effective to respond in any kind of emergency, ADG (Law & Order) and ERSS State Nodal Officer RK Sharma.

ADG (Training) and BPSPA Director Arun Kumar Sarangi, SCRB Director Vinayatosh Mishra, Vigilance Director YK Jethwa among many senior police officers were present during the flag-off ceremony.
