Odisha gets 6,891 more Secondary School teachers

Bhubaneawar, August 1: An orientation programme for 6,891 newly recruited Secondary School teachers was held at the Kalinga Stadium here on Monday.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik graced the occasion and interacted with the newly- appointed teachers. He described the teachers as the nation builders.

“Total 4,000 Government schools have already been transformed. 4,800 more schools will be transformed under the 5T initiative by 2023,” said the CM.

Some teachers lauded the transparent method of recruitment on the occasion.

The newly recruited teachers will help the 5T Transformation activities being undertaken by the State Government to strengthen school education system in Odisha. The Initial Appointees were welcomed to the fold of S&ME Department and congratulated for their new beginning.

School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari, Water Resources, Commerce & Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu and Industries, MSME and Energy Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Development Commissioner Pradeep Jena, Principal Advisor (Education) to CM Upendra Tripathy and S&ME Secretary Bishnupada Sethi were present.
