UK’s SRAM & MRAM Group declares Rs 2 lakh crore investment in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, December 6: United Kingdom’s SRAM & MRAM Group vice chairman Dr Gurujee Kumaran Swami has announced an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore in the semiconductor business in Odisha in a phased manner.

The announcement was made by Swami during the recently concluded ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2022,’ held in Bhubaneswar, an official release of the company said.

The Group vice chairman Dr Gurujee Kumaran Swami and company’s Odisha in-charge Dr Debadutta Singh Deo, at a press briefing, informed that the company will invest Rs 30,000 crore in the first phase.

The announcement came following an interaction with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and detailed discussions with the State Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma and other top officials of the State Government.

Among others, the press briefing was attended by Gaurav Ralhan, LN Agrawal, Er. Rohini Singh Deo and Er. Priyanka Singh Deo.
