Cuttack, December 10: Ahead of Hockey India’s Hockey World Cup celebrations on January 11 at the Barabati Stadium, Sports and Youth Services Secretary R Vineel Krishna on Saturday visited the event venue and chaired a preparatory meeting with Hockey India and concerned officials to ensure a smooth and sucessful event.
Sports Secretary Krishna asked the concerned officials present to support and work closely with the Hockey Federation to ensure that the silver city is prepared to welcome the World Cup event and that the spectators have a great experience.
To ensure a safe and incident free event, dedicated fire, security and health teams will be deployed days prior to the celebration. Traffic Management and Crowd control were discussed in detail.
RDC (Central Division) Dr Suresh Chandra Dalai, Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani, CMC Commissioner Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, Secretary OCA, various departament offcials were present. CEO and ED Hockey India also joined the meeting.
