5G by January 26 in Odisha: Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Bhubaneswar, December 29: Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday said that 5G internet services will be launched in Odisha before January 26 next year.

Vaishnaw was addressing a programme organised to lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bhubaneswar railway station here, also attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Coal and Mines Minister Prahlad Joshi, Bhubaneawar MP Aparajita Sarangi.

“Earlier, Odisha was neglected in the telecom sector. But, now, the Modi Government has allocated Rs 5,600 crore for development of the telecom sector in the State,” said Vaishnaw.

Maintaining that PM Modi has taken the responsibility to provide 4G service to each village of Odisha, Vaishnaw said that now, no one can dare to say that Odisha is being neglected.
