Mumbai, November 15: India’s star batter Virat Kohli notched up a much-awaited record-breaking 50th ODI century, going past legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record during the marquee World Cup semi-final clash against New Zealand in Mumbai on Thursday.
Firing his third ton of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, sensational Kohli pulled off the record breaking hundred off 106 balls, laced with 8 fours and a six.
Kohli got to his record ton in the 42nd over off the bowling of Lockie Ferguson.
This was also the eighth fifty plus score for top order batsman Kohli in World Cup 2023 – the highest in a single edition of the competition.
