Bhubaneswar, June 18: Newly appointed Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari went on a surprise visit to the Bhubaneswar tehsil office in the city on Tuesday. The Minister also shared his personal phone number to the people who have visited the tehsil office for works to contact him directly if they face hardships in revenue department offices.
During the visit, Sharma sat in the Tehsildar’s chair and inspected the works of the tehsil office.
Tehsildar Dr Manas Ranjan Swain and Additional Tehsildars briefed the Minister about the functioning of the tehsil office and duty and responsibilities of different officers.
He then inquired about the number of members of the staff. The Minister also heard the problems of the people visiting the tehsil office and assured them that every possible proactive measure will be taken to simplify and speed up the functioning of the tehsil office in a transparent manner to ensure quality service delivery to the citizens.
The sudden arrival of the Minister at the tehsil office sparked activities in nearby tehsil offices, who thought that Pujari might be on his way to visit their tehsils.
