Deogarh/Bhubaneswar, October 9: Accelerating the transformation of public healthcare in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday launched distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Cards in Deogarh district.
“More than 2.70 lakh beneficiaries from the district can now avail healthcare services using this card,” said the Chief Minister.
To further strengthen drinking water supply, healthcare, roads & bridges, power supply, urban development etc in the district, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid foundation of 58 projects worth more than Rs 706 crore.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of 19 projects worth more than Rs 570 crore including a 300-bed hospital while 39 projects worth Rs 136 crore were inaugurated.
On this occasion, CM Patnaik also announced to transform all 87 Government High Schools under the 5T initiative.
