Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor SC Jamir on Tuesday praised the
efforts taken by State Bank of India (SBI) in overall development of the country
more particularly its contribution to the people of Odisha, besides hailing its
community service activities like adoption of girl child, providing computers,
fans, aqua guard water filter to schools and tree plantation etc.

Speaking on the occasion SBI, Bhubaneswar circle Chief
General Manger K.M. Trivedi elaborated the history of the bank and the long
journey it started since 1808.

The CGM also informed that the bank will install 25 Traffic
Police Posts in the city shortly. One such post was inaugurated on Tuesday at
PMG Square by Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police Dr. R.K. Sharma on the
