Bhubaneswar, July 10: The new BJP Government on Wednesday carried out first major reshuffle among senior IAS officers on Wednesday.
Two most influential bureaucrats in the previous BJD Government – G Mathivathanan and R Vineel Krishna- have been transferred to insignificant positions by the Mohan Majhi Government
According to a notification of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Nikunja Bihari Dhal was appointed Chairman, IDCO, along with his current assignment as ACS to the Chief Minister.
General Administration Department Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar was appointed as the ACS, Parliamentary Affairs Department.
G Mathivathanan, who was serving as H&UD Secretary for over 10 years has been transferred as Director General, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA).
SD&TE Department Principal Secretary Usha Padhee was given additional charge of the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Principal Secretary to Governor Saswat Mishra was given additional charge of Finance & Energy Departments while Finance Secretary Vishal Dev was appointed Electronics & IT Secretary.
Special Secretary to CM,Vineel Krishna was transferred as Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement. Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma replaced Vineel Krishna as Sports Secretary.
