Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Matriculation examination will begin from February 19 and will conclude on March 2, announced Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Tuesday.
BSE President Ramashis Hazra said that students will appear for Odia on the first day of the examination while English examination will be held on February 22 (Saturday). Students will write the third language (Hindi/Sanskrit) paper on February 24 (Monday), Mathematics on February 26 (Wednesday), General Science on February 28 (Friday) and Social Studies on March 2 (Monday).
Examination will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. Students will get extra 15 minutes for the Mathematics paper.
He also said that the examination for State Open School Certificate (SOSC) and Madhyama Sanckrit will also be held simultaneously with the annual HSC examination from February 19.
Last year the examination was held between February 22 and March 8 in around 3,000 centres across Odisha.
