Sep 8: Lifeline Express, a hospital on wheels, the world’s first state-of-art
hospital on a train has started functioning at Junagarh Road railway station in
Kalahandi district from Wednesday. The service will available till September 26.

This is a
project started by SBI Foundation under CSR activities. For running this
project SBI Foundation has partnered with Impact India Foundation, an NGO.

A plethora
of medical services, including corrective surgeries will be available to the
people totally free of cost for 20 days in the Life Line Express.

include orthopedic, ophthalmic, middle ear operations, plastic surgery, Dental
and oral health Hygiene services, Epilepsy treatments, cardiac, Gynecology and
pediatrics etc. Hearing Aids, spectacles, Calipers, crutches, wheel Chairs etc
will be distributed among deserving patients free of cost. Health education programme
will be conducted for School children, Health Activists, Anganwadi Workers in
the Life Line Express Train free of cost.
