Bhubaneswar, November 28: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday presented a Supplementary Budget of Rs 17,440 crore in the State Assembly.
Majhi, who also holds the Finance portfolio, emphasised that the Supplementary Budget aims to fulfil the requirement of funds for public welfare and developmental activities in the State mainly through reallocation of available resources and receipt of tied-up resources from various sources.
The Supplementary provision of Rs 13,716 crore under Programme Expenditure is to be financed by tied up resources to the extent of Rs 1,232 crore and the differential amount would be met through savings and year-end surrender of funds.
Total outlay for the Administrative Expenditure is Rs 3,389 crore, out of which Rs 1,406 crore is for Debt Servicing and Rs 133 crore for recoupment of OCF advance.
The allocations under Administrative Expenditure and Transfers to Local Bodies are to be financed against adjustment and surrender. Allocation under Disaster Management Funds to be financed by allocation under National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF).
