Odisha: Six doctors flown to Nuapada to offer free healthcare services

Bhubaneswar, July 21: As many as six doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack were flown to Nuapada by a chartered plane on Monday, as part of the State Government’s Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva Scheme (CM’s Air Health Service), to offer free healthcare services to patients in the remotest parts of the State.

The team comprised of Dr Bhawani Shankar Dhal (Endocrinology), Dr Biswajit Mohanty (Nephrology), Dr Lincoln Patel (Urology), Dr Sananda Kumar Sethi (Gastroenterology), Dr Sonalika Behera (Neurology), and Dr Pankaj Kumar Maravi (Cardiology).

The team reached the district with necessary equipment and medicines. The team would camp at district headquarters hospital (DHH) up to July 24 and would provide super specialist clinical services including consultations and therapeutic interventions to all the 632 patients, screened earlier.

Available data shows, as many as 632 patients from various parts of Nuapada districts were screened and enlisted for service under the scheme earlier.

This team would undertake case to case analysis of all individual patients, and would prepare them for necessary treatment and interventions by senior expert team.
