Coronavirus in Odisha: 15 new positive cases, highest in a single day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s novel Coronavirus or  Covid-19 count touched 20 mark on Friday, with the State reporting 15 new cases, the highest for a single day so far.
This is the first time Odisha’s single-day Covid-19 tally has crossed into double digits.
The State Health and Family Welfare Department confirmed that 15 persons – three from Bomikhal area in Bhubaneswar, seven persons, including the wife, daughter and tennat of the fifth Covid-19 patient of Surya Nagar, one each from Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur and two from Bhadrak tested positive for the disease on Friday, taking the total tally of positive cases to 20 in Odisha, of which the two patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals, so far.
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak Town have been placed under complete shutdown mode for 48 hours between 8 pm of Friday and 8 pm on Sunday to check the spread of community spreading of the virus.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old first Covid-19 patient and 19-year-old second Covid-19 patient have been cured and discharged from the hospitals. Now, there are 18 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
