Bhubaneswar: Odisha will go to simultaneous polls in four phases starting April 11, 2019. The next three phases of elections will be conducted on April 18, 23 and 29. Constituency-wise dates of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections 2019 has been declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Here’s all you need to know about the phase-wise and constituency-wise election schedule and their break-up.
Phase 1 elections on April 11: Four Lok Sabha, 28 Assembly seats
The first phase polls to four Lok Sabha seats in Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Berhampur and Koraput will be held on April 11 along with 28 Assembly constituencies – Nuapada, Khariar, Unerkote, Jharigaon, Nabarangpur, Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmagarh, Bhawanipatna, Narlam, Chhatrapur, Gopalpur, Berhampur, Digapandhi, Chikiti, Mohana, Paralakhemundi, Bissam Cuttack, Rayagada, Laxmipur, Kotpada, Jeypore, Koraput, Pottangi, Malkangiri and Chitrakonda.
Phase 2 elections on April 18: Five Lok Sabha, 35 Assembly seats
In the second phase at least five Lok Sabha constituencies, namely, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska and 35 Assembly constituencies – Padmapur, Bijepur, Bargarh, Attabira, Bhatli, Brajarajnagar, Jharsuguda, Talsara, Sundargarh, Biramitrapur, Raghunathpalli, Rourkela, Rajgangpur, Bonai, Birmaharajpur, Sonepur, Loisingha, Patnagarh, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kantabanjhi, Baliguda, G Udyagiri, Phulbani, Kantamal, Boudh, Daspalla, Bhanjanagar, Polasara, Kabisuryanagar, Khalikote, Aska, Surada, Sanakhemundi and Hinjili will go for polls simultaneously on April 18.
Phase 3 elections on April 23: Six Lok Sabha, 42 Assembly seats
In phase three six Lok Sabha constituencies namely Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri, Bhubaneswar on April 23 along with 42 Assembly constituencies – Kuchinda, Rengali, Sambalpur, Rairakhol, Deogarh, Telkoi, Ghasipura, Anandpur, Patna, Keonjhar, Champua, Karanjia, Dhenkanal, Hindol, Kamakhyanagar, Parjanga, Pallahara, Talcher, Angul, Chhendipada, Athamalik, Baramba, Banki, Athgarh, Barbati-Cuttack, Cuttack-Sadar, Puri, Beahmagiri, Satyabadi, Pipli, Jaydev, Bhubaneswar Madhya, Bhubaneswar Uttar, Ekamra Bhubaneswar, Jatani, Begunia, Khurda, Chilika, Ranpur, Khandapada and Nayagarh.
Phase 4 elections on April 29: Six Lok Sabha, 42 Assembly seats
The phase four elections will be held on April 29 in six Lok Sabha constituencies namely Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur and 42 Assembly constituencies – Jashipur, Sarakana, Rairangpur, Bangriposi, Udlam Badasahi, Baripada, Morada, Jaleswar, Bhograi, Basta, Balasore, Remunda, Nilgiri, Soro, Simulia, Bhandarpokhari, Bhadrak, Basudevpur, Dhamnagar, Chandbali, Binjharpur, Bari, Barchana, Dharmasala, Jajpur, Korei, Sukinda, Niali, Salipur, Mahanga, Patkura, Kendrapara, Aul, Rajanagar, Mahakalpada, paradeep, Tirtol, Balikuda-Erasama, Jagatsinghpur, Kakatpur and Nimapara.
Results will be declared on May 23.
