announcing to introduce express cleaning service (ECS) to streamline disposal
of waste from January 2014.

Under
the ECS, the private agencies will be engaged to collect the waste from houses,
educational institutions, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, apartments,
commercial units, auditorium and markets. The waste is supposed to be dumped at
a designated place near Sainik
School.

per plan, all 52 wards of the BMC were divided into four units and three
private agencies were assigned to carry out the task. The agencies have signed
the agreement with the civic body for seven years.

container having 1100 liter capacity would be installed in every ward.

Before
dumping the garbage at the designated dump yard near Sainik School,
it will be weighted. Basing on the weight of the garbage, monthly payment will
be made accordingly.
