Bhubaneswar: Acting on a tip off the Quick Action Team (QAT) of
the Commissionerate Police along with the Khandagiri police on Friday raided a duplicate
zarda and gutkha factory at Jokalandi in Bharatpur and arrested seven persons
from the spot.

machine, a packing machine, seven big size polythine packets containing
duplicate ‘Gurukul Dilux mix,’ and many other items from their possession.

The arrested persons were identified as Sashi Bhusan Bhanja
Deo (35) of Khordha and owner of the illegal factory, Umabati, Niranjan Kumar,
Sarbesh Kashyap, Rahul Kumar, Anup Kumar, all of UP and Bulu Sahu of Ganjam.

They were booked under sections 468, 471, 420, 34 of IPC r/w
