Secretary Bishnupada Sethi, in a letter to all Collectors, has asked to make
sure that the Sub-Collectors of their respective districts inspect all rain
gauge instruments within their jurisdiction and submit report on the status of
rain gauge stations by May 10.

He further said, in case the measuring instrument or any
other part of rain gauge instrument is found to have been damaged, a special
messenger may be deputed with requisition to the Disaster Management department
to receive the new ones.
