Bhubaneswar, October 8, 2018: The well marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea is very likely to concentrate into a depression during next 12 hours and move north-westwards towards Odisha coast during next 48 hours.
“The well marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining north Andaman Sea lay over southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal at 0530 hrs IST of today. It is very likely to concentrate into a #Depression during next 12 hours and very likely to move north-westwards towards Odisha coast during next 48 hours,” said the latest India Meteorological Department bulletin here on Monday.
Under its pressure squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely over north Andaman Sea, southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Islands during next 24 hours while squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph likely over deep sea areas of central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal from October 8 to 10, it said.
The sea condition is very likely to be rough to very rough over north Andaman Sea and southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours; and over central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal during October 8 to 10, it predicted.
The fishermen have been advised not to venture into deep sea areas of north Andaman Sea and southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours and over central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal during October 8 to 10.
The weather experts also advised those, who are out in deep sea areas are advised return to the coast by Monday night.
