5th International Mother Tongue Fest on February 20

Bhubaneswar: The fifth edition of the two-day International Mother Tongue Festival “Amari Bhasa Pathe” is all set to kick off from February 20 in New Delhi.

Being organised by The Intellects – a forum of non-Odia residents in New Delhi, the programme was aimed at promoting the Odia art, culture, tradition and language in international level.

The forum decided to organise an essay competition in schools. Winner will be felicitated with Rs 50,000 cash reward, citation and trophy, said Debendra Nath Rout of the Intellects. He said that students of Class VIII to Class X are eligible to participate in the debate competition titled Mother tongue is the medium of development and dignity.

The essay will not be more than 1,500 words. Applicants can send their essay to D: 22/A, Rajpur Khurd, Chatarpur, New Delhi, Pin: 110068 or can email on cm.intelectsgmail.com by January 10. Winners will be felicitated on February 20.

Of the total essays at least 20 selected copies will be published in the form of a book.
