Rahul to address two public rallies in Bhawanipatna, Rourkela tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address two public meetings at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and Rourkela in Sundergarh district on Wednesday.

Rahul is visiting KBK region after a gap of nine years. Around 1.5 lakh people are expected to attend the Sankalp Samavesh at Bhawanipatna. After addressing in Bhwanipatna, Rahul will visit Rourkela in the afternoon where he will also address a public rally. People of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj are expected to gather in the rally to hear Rahul.

This will be Rahul’s second visit to Odisha in two weeks. On January 25, he had addressed a mass gathering at Tamando Mini Stadium on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar where he came down heavily both on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on different issues, including corruption, development and farmers’ condition.

Rahul’s visit comes close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three back-to-back visits to the State in last one month and the two back-to back visit of party national president Amit Shah in a week. Leaders are frequenting to Odisha to woo voters ahead of the election. Assembly election in Odisha would be held along with Lok Sabha polls in May.
