Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched web-portal for KALIA Scholarship, making it easy for children of the KALIA beneficiaries to apply for the programme.
The initiative will help farmers’ children to pursue technical and professional education to realise their dreams.
Under the scholarship, Odisha Government will bear educational expenses of students for studying in State Government institutions. Students can get details about the KALIA Scholarship and apply for the same here: http://green.kalia.co.in/cafas/cafas.aspx.
The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on February 3 announced the Kalia Chhatra Brutti – to help the children of KALIA beneficiaries take up professional courses.
KALIA, or Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation, is a scheme recently launched by the State Government to provide Rs 5,000 each to small and marginal farmers for five cropping seasons.
