Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday reached out to nearly 2.5 lakh youths as part of the State-wide ‘New Odisha Dharmapada Dialogue’ programme here.
Directly interacting with the youths, the Union Minister emphasised on the need to provide the youthful manpower with skills and ability to tackle global challenges.
The Union Minister attended the main programme organized at the Railway Auditorium here with an attendance of nearly 2,000 youths coming from different parts of the State. Similarly, special arrangements were made at 430 places across Odisha where the students interacted with the Minister directly via videoconferencing.
Sharing many burning instances of youths of Odisha who have excelled in different fields after being skilled in different sectors, the Minister said, “The youths of Odisha are determined, full of aspiration and inherent talents. The talents should be identified, shared and utilsied for making a New Odisha and New India. Hence, the Dharmapada Dialogue programme is conceptualised.”
Getting the Union Minister in front of them, the youths shared their experiences with the former and also sought his advice how to make their career and future a solid one using the initiatives introduced by the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry.
On the occasion, the Minister also shared several skill development programmes meant for youths and advised the students to avail the facilities.
“Without the active participation of youths, no country, State can witness holistic development,” said Pradahn.
