Special train for Fani-affected passengers

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) will run special train from Bhubaneswar to Krishnarajapuram in Bangalore on May 15 for passengers affected by cancellation of trains due to cyclone Fani.

The ECoR has suspended services of at least 103 trains due to the cyclone that hit the Odisha coast near Puri on May 3 keeping the safety and security of the passengers in view.

The train will depart from Bhubaneswar at 7.30 am on May 15 and reach Krushnarajpuram at 10.15 am on May 16.

With 14 sleeper class, two second class, two guard-cum-luggage coaches, this train has stoppages in Khurda Road, Berhampur, Palasa, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakhapatnam, Duvada, Rajamundry, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpetai and Bangarapet, en route to Bangalore.

Meanwhile, the proposed special train (06561) has departed from Bangalore Cantonment today at 5.30 pm and will reach Bhubaneswar at 7 pm on Tuesday for the exclusive trip on Wednesday.
