Bhubaneswar: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and Crime Branch CID Inspector General (IG) Arun Bothra on Thursday took over as the new Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) Managing Director.
The State Government on Saturday appointed the 1996-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer as the new CRUT MD. He will act as CRUT MD in addition with the current posting of CB CID, IG.
The CRUT, established under the Housing and Urban Development Department, operates the public transport services ‘Mo Bus’ and ‘Mo Cycle’ in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Asit Tripathy holds the post of CRUT Chairman.
After taking charge Bothra, said he will work to improve the public transport service.
“I need good wishes and also suggestions and feedbacks from different stakeholders to improve public transport service, especially Mo Bus in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri,” said Bothra.
