Odisha to set up four new planetariums at a cost of Rs 30 crore

Bhubaneswar: Science and Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda on Saturday informed the Assembly that the State Government will set up four new planetariums soon.

The State Government has decided to establish four new planetariums in Gopalpur, Rayagada, Kenojhar and Baripada with an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore, said Minister Panda while replying to a question in the Assembly.

The Minister said while Rs 9 crore will be spent for setting up planetarium at Gopalpur, Rs 7 crore each will be spent for the same in Rayagada, Keonjhar and Baripada.

The Minister further informed that science parks will be set up in all the districts.

“The State Government has planned to set up science parks in each district of the State. Ten such parks will become functional in the first phase,” said the Minister.
