New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: To achieve last mile connectivity, Railways and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday flagged off the at least 10 Sewa Service Trains, including Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express, from New Delhi Railway Station through videoconferencing in the presence of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express which will run daily will make stoppages at Khurda Road Junction, Khurda Town, Begunia, Rajsunakhala, Bolagarh Road, including Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh Town.
As per a communiqué issued by the East Coast Railway (ECoR), the train will leave Bhubaneswar at 6.40 pm and will reach at Nayagarh Town at 8.45 pm. In the return direction, it will leave Nayagarh Town at 6.30 am and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 9 am.
In view of introduction of Sewa Express, timings of existing running passenger trains between Khurda Road and Nayagarh Town has been revised for operational feasibility, it said.
As per the revised schedule, the Khurda Road-Nayagarh Town Passenger (58431) will depart Khurda Road at 8.20 am instead of 7.15 am and will reach at Nayagarh Town at 9.45 am instead of 8.55 am. In the return direction, Nayagarh Town-Khurda Road passenger (58432) will leave at Nayagarh Town at 10 am instead of 9.20 am and reach at Khurda Road at 11.45 am instead 11.05 am, it added.
Similarly, Khurda Road-Nayagarh Town Passenger (58429) will leave Khurda Road at 8.15 pm instead of earlier timings at 7.30 pm and reach at Nayagarh Town at 9.40 pm instead of 9.10 pm. In the return direction, the timings of Nayagarh Town-Khurda Road passenger (58430) will remain unchanged. This train will leave Nayagarh Town at 5 am and will reach at Khurda Road at 6.45 am.
