Bhubaneswar: Maintaining that purchase of tickets by activists taking part in rallies as very rare, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday hailed around 500 people – mostly tribals – for purchasing tickets from Bhubaneswar to Dhenkanal after participating in the rally here and thereby setting good example for the general public.
“About 500 passengers from Dhenkanal had come to Bhubaneswar to attend a rally for their cause. They purchased train tickets to board Puri-Angul MEMU and set a good example and requested Bhubaneswar Station authority to provide more time to board their train at Bhubaneswar Station. The rally consisted of mostly tribal groups. They purchased 500 General Tickets from Bhubaneswar to Dhenkanal,” said an ECoR statement.
“This is being highlighted in this forum as purchase of tickets by activists taking part in rallies is actually very rare. This will set a very good example for the general public,” it said.
