Odisha Sathya Sai Trust contributes Rs 10 lakh to CMRF to fight Coronavirus

Bhubaneswar: Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Odisha on Wednesday contributed Rs 10 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to support the State Government’s efforts in fighting Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Trust convener Antarjyami Pattnaik handed over the cheque to Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy here.

Sai devotees from all over the State have contributed this amount by practice of ‘Ceiling on Desires’ -curtailing their personal expenses and spending the amount for benefit of society.

Odisha has so far reported 89 Corona positive cases. Of 89 positive cases, the State has now 55 Covid-19 active cases. While 33 persons have been cured and discharged from hospitals, one 72-year-old person from Bhubaneswar has succumbed to the disease earlier this month.
