Six-hour Congress bandh against fuel price hike affects train services in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, February 15: Due to the six-hour Odisha bandh call given by the State Congress unit against the fuel price hike, train services in East Coast Railway (ECoR) have been affected partially on Monday. As a result, few trains have been controlled at different stations for a few minutes.

According to an ECoR statement, agitation was held at Talcher Station from 6 AM to 1 PM while protestors held stir at Bhubaneswar from 7 AM to 7.55 AM, at Dhenkanal from 7.30 AM to 8.20 AM, at Chhatrapur from 8.50 AMs to 8.55 AMs and at Puri from 10.50 AM to 11.15 AM, respectively.

As a result, the statement said, Bhubaneswar-LTT Special (02880) was detained at Bhubaneswar Station from 7.20 AMs to 8 AM while Bhubaneswar-Balangir Special (08493) was detained at Dhenkanal from 7.48 AM to 8.20 AM, Koraput-Bhubaneswar Special (08448) was detained at Dhenkanal from 7.47 AM to 8.20 AM.

Puri-Anand Vihar Special (02815) left Puri at 11.20 AM instead of its scheduled time at 11 AM, read the statement.
