Bhubaneswar, April 25: A total of 6,116 more people tested positive for the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the State, said the Health & Family Welfare Department on Sunday.
The State also reported 3,464 fresh recoveries and seven fatalities during the same period.
Of the total 6,647 cases, 3,546 cases were detected from among the quarantined people while 2,570 were local contacts.
These new cases have been detected in all the 30 districts of the State. This apart, 179 cases were reported from the State Pool.
With this, the total virus cases mounted to 4,07,457 with 45,949 active cases.
Of the seven fatalities, two fatalities were reported from Rayagada, one death each was reported from Ganjam, Kalahandi, Khurda, Puri and Sundargarh districts
