COVID-19: CM asks Collectors to keep hospitals ready in next 10 days

Bhubaneawar, January 4: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the State with senior officials and district Collectors on virtual mode and directed them to speed up preparedness and keep all the Government and private hospitals ready within next 10 days.

The Chief Minister directed that the number of beds and ICUs which were available at the peak of second wave of COVID-19 be readied. He also asked to carry out vaccination drive in campaign mode while giving priority to inoculation of children, aged between 15 and 18 years.

The CM advised the officials to continue to impose COVID-19 restrictions while ensuring that livelihoods of people are not getting affected. He also advised to take immediate steps to ensure smooth Covid Management without causing any inconvenience to the public.

Citing that the infection is likely to spread rapidly during this wave, CM Patnaik stressed on implementing arrangements immediately. He reiterated appeal to people to remain vigilant, abide by all the protocols and cooperate with the officials.
