Bhubaneawar, December 24: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday urged the young cadets of the Sainik School here to live up to expectations of the school and nation.
Speaking at the diamond jubilee celebration of school, Patnaik said that the Sainik School has become a benchmark for quality education, character building and personality enrichment.
“It is the moment to cherish glorious, memorable years that the school and its alumni have passed through, to motivate young minds to emulate the same. I would like to urge young cadets to seize each and every opportunity that you get, and live up to expectations of school and nation,” said Patnaik.
Set up by former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik in 1962, the Sainik School has become a benchmark for quality education, character building and personality enrichment.
“The school has not only produced some of the finest soldiers for country but also large number of its cadets have made significant achievement in Civil Services, Medicine, Engineering, Merchant Navy, Entrepreneurship and others,” said the Chief Minister.
“The strength of our education system not only lies in academic excellence, but rests in the ability to empower the students with knowledge, confidence, responsibility, and ability to think and face situations of life independently,” added Patnaik.
