Odisha: CM inaugurates Modular OT Complex at PGIMER & Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, November 18: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday dedicated a Modular Operation Theatre Complex in the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research & Capital Hospital here.

“This state of the art facility a huge step forward for treatment of patients in critical conditions,” said Patnaik.

The Modular OT Complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 16.76 crore.  Out of the total 16.76 crore, Odisha Government has provided Rs 15.34 crore from the State Budget while Airports Authority of India has contributed Rs 1.42 crore through CSR funding.

This Modular Operation Theatre complex is a highly advanced facility with State-of-the-Art Technology. Various types of surgical procedures can be done safely and efficiently using the new facility, thereby contributing greatly to improved patient care. There are four operation theatres in this complex which can support eight operations simultaneously.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Niranjan Pujari, Department Secretary Shalini Pandit, 5T initiative and Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
