Bhubaneswar, August 21: The Odisha Government on Thursday initiated a major reshuffle of Indian Police Service (IPS) and Odisha Police Service (OPS) officers, with 18 officers being transfered and receiving new assignments across the State.
According to a Home Department notification, Dr Santosh Bala, a 1995-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Director, SFSL (State Forensic Science Laboratory).

2. S. Praveen Kumar, a 2002-batch IPS officer, is now the I.G. of Police, Provisioning.
3. Sanjay Kumar Kaushal, also from the 2003 batch, has been moved to the position of IG of Police, EOW (Economic Offences Wing).
4. Awinash Kumar (RR 2007) will serve as the new Director, State Crime Record Bureau.
5. Gajbhiye Satish Kumar Iswardas (RR 2002) is appointed as IG of Police, Special Armed Police.
6. Pinak Mishra (RR 2011) has been posted as DIG of Police, Eastern Range.
7. Dr. Satyajit Naik (RR 2008) is now the DIG of Police, Central Range.
8. Parmar Smit Parshottamdas (RR 2013) is the new S.P., Crime Branch.
9. Prateek Singh (RR 2014) has been transferred to S.P., Puri.
10. Vinit Agrawal (RR 2016) has been appointed S.P., Cuttack (Rural).
11. Raj Prasad (RR 2018) is now the S.P., Special Branch.
12. Vivekanand Sharma (RR 2014) is appointed S.P., Khurda.
13. Pratyush Diwaker (RR 2015) has been transferred to S.P., Balasore.
14. Gundala Reddy Raghavendra (RR 2019) is the new S.P., Jharsuguda.
15. Ankit Kumar Verma (RR 2021) has been transferred to S.P. Jagatsinghpur.
16. Amritpal Singh (RR 2021) has been appointed S.P. Nuapada.
17. Amritpal Kaur (RR 2021) is now the S.P., Sundargarh.
18. Bhawani Shankar Udgata from the OPS (Odisha Police Service) has been posted as S.P., Railway, Cuttack.
