Cuttack: Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma on Thursday felicitated 40 best performing investigating officers, including two IPS officers and nine women police personnel of different districts, whose good investigations led to enhancement of convictions.
The CID Crime Branch, as the nodal agency of crime investigation has taken many proactive steps for enhancement of rate of conviction. In order to strengthen the prosecution system, Crime Branch has been organizing felicitation ceremony to appreciate the performance successful investigating officers.
The best performing officers who were felicitated by the top cop included senior IPS officer Dr Kanwar Bishal Singh and Madkar Sandeep Sampat, STF DSP Priya Ranjan Satpathy, Inspectors – Girija Sankar Chakraborty (Bhubaneswar), Niranjan Kumar Dhir (Nayagarh), Surendra Kumar Nayak (Deogarh), Gopinath Pradhan (Boudh), Rupadhara Nayak, (Vigilance Cell, Bhubaneswar), P Shyam Sundar Rao (Kandhamal), Anupama Sahoo (Vigilance Cuttack Division), Ritanjali Pradhan (Vigilance Rourkela Unit), Ranjan Kumar Sahu (Malkangiri), Sudhir Kumar Sahu (Nuapada), Rajanikanta Mishra (Jagatsinghpur), Mukti Kumar Kullu (Mayurbhanj), Sangram Kishore Pattanaik (Bolangir), Abhimanyu Nayak (Puri), Priti Manjari Menduli (PTC Angul), Manas Ranjan Barik (Keonjhar), Gaurahari Sahoo (Koraput), Sugyani Sahu (Rayagada), Santosh Kumar Jena (Rourkela), Jayadev Biswajit (Bhubaneswar), Anita Sahoo (Cuttack), Sarita Tripathy (Vigilance Bhubaneswar Division).
Sub-Inspectors – Sanjeev Ranavainsa (Deogarh), Alok Ranjan Jagdal (Gajapati), Jugal Kishore Dash (Angul), Sushanat Kumar Badhei (EOW, Bhubaneswar), Sushanta Kumar Pradhan and Beauty Mohanty (Ganjam), Manorama Barik (Balasore), Sadananda Naik (Nuapada), Sujata Khamari (Bhadrak), Trilochan Behera (Kendrapara), Prasanta Kumar Jena (Balasore) and Prativa Manjari Sahoo (Keonjhar) were also honoured by the DGP along with HRPC DSP Ranjit Nayak and Udala SDPO Swapna Ranjan Mohapatra.
