Free Wi-Fi launched at Cuttack railway station

Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: Free Wi-Fi service at the Cuttack railway
station was inaugurated by local MP and Railway Convention Committee
Chairperson Bhartruhari Mahtab on Tuesday in the presence of Divisional Railway
Manager, Khurda Road Devraj Panda.

As part of an ambitious project towards the Digital India
initiative by the Indian Railways, provision of Wi-Fi services at the station
would now gain the distinguished status of having high-speed internet facility
in the country for its thousands of passengers.

Designed to offer users the best Internet experience,
RailWire Wi-Fi will be available to any user who has a working mobile
connection on a smart phone or on any laptop device. This is all part of the
East Coast Railway’s continuing endeavours to provide more and better comforts
to its passengers. 

ECoR General Manager Umesh Singh had, during his visit to the
Cuttack station, announced that Wi-Fi service would be enabled at the station
any time near Puja festival. In view of this, experimental service of Wi-fi at
the station was started during the Puja festival.

ECoR Senior Divisional Commercial Manager HL Luwang
coordinated the programme. Senior railway officials from the ECoR headquarters
and the Khurda Road Division were present on the occasion.
