Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Saturday approved three investment proposals worth Rs 6923.26 crore which will create at least 4,638 new jobs.
Two proposals of Thriveni Earthmovers and one of Metaliks Private Limiteds were approved at the 22nd High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The HLCA approved the proposal of Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd for setting up 30 MTPA Beneficiation plant in two phases at Deojhar in Kenonjar with a total investment of Rs 1426.75 crore providing employment to about 884 people.
It also approved the proposal of Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd. for expansion of pellet plant capacity of 24 MTPA pellet plant in three phases, located at Bhitargarh City in Paradip with additional investment of Rs 3396.51 crores. It will provide additional employment of 954 people.
The proposal Orissa Metaliks Private Limited for setting up of a 1.2 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant along with 225MW CPP with a total investment of Rs 2100 crore was also approved by the HLCA. It will create employment for 2800 people.
