CM sees Puri King’s power point presentation on development of Jagannath Dham

Bhubaneswar, March 29, 2018: Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingh
Deb on Thursday called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State
Secretariat here and discussed issues of development of Shree Jagannath Temple,
Shree Gundicha Mandir, Grand Road (Bada Danda) and heritage monuments and sites
in the pilgrim city of Puri.
The Gajapati Maharaja, who happens to be the permanent Chairman
of the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, the apex decision making body
for the 12th-century shrine, made a power point presentation before the CM
highlighting five proposals for the development and beautification of the abode
of the Lord Jagannath.   
“We made a power point presentation before the CM relating
to the development and beautification of the Lord Jagannath Dham. Development
of Shree Jagannath temple and its vicinity, development and beautification of Shree
Gundicha temple, Bada Danda, Athar Nalla, Jagannath Ballabh Math and other
monuments surrounding Lord Jagannath Temple,” said the King after the meeting.
Renovation of Emar Math, Uttar Parswa Math and Bama Parswa
Math, focus on promotion of Jagannath and Vedic cultures were also discussed in
the meeting.
The Chief Minister assured the Gajapati that the State
Government will work on a detailed plan for development of Jagannath Dham and
thanked him for bringing up various development issues of the city.
“Discussed issues of development of Shree Mandir, Shree Gundicha
Mandir, Bada Danda and heritage sites of Puri with Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb. My
Government will do everything for all-round development of the abode of
Jagannath Mahaprabhu and promotion of Jagannath culture in the world,” Patnaik
posted in his Facebook page.
