In tune with its commitment towards addressing health issues of communities in
periphery areas of its operations, Tata Steel organized a one-day Free Health
Camp, in association with Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) at Tata
Steel Hospital, Gomardih under Tumura Panchyat of Kutra block in Sundergarh
district.
In tune with its commitment towards addressing health issues of communities in
periphery areas of its operations, Tata Steel organized a one-day Free Health
Camp, in association with Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) at Tata
Steel Hospital, Gomardih under Tumura Panchyat of Kutra block in Sundergarh
district.
More than 330 patients
from surrounding villages of Tumura, Jharbera and Kutunia panchyats availed
health services at the day-long health camp where free consultation by
specialist doctors from seven disciplines including Medicine, Skin, Eye,
Audiometry, etc. was provided. In the camp thorough medical examination of the
patients was done by the team of doctors and paramedical staff and free
medicines were also distributed. Many senior citizens, children, women and
physically challenged villagers came to seek medical assistance and free
check-up.

presence of other Tata Steel officers, office bearers of Gomardih Dolomite
Mazdoor Union, and local villagers. The patients who were treated in the camp
hailed this noble initiative of providing quality health care to the people
residing in remote areas.
