‘Indian charted accountants are in good demand in foreign countries’

Bhubaneswar,
Aug 22: Indian charted accountants are in good demand in Gulf countries,
besides in the West Asian countries, Australia and Singapore. Nearly 50 per
cent of the charted accountants working in Gulf regions are Indian, said
Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI) president K Raghu here on
Friday. 
Speaking
at the inaugural function of three-day all India CA conference here, Raghu said,
“Indian charted accountants are now doing admirable job in foreign countries
and their demand in international market are high,” said Raghu. 
Attending
the event as the chief guest Union Petroleum Minister Dharemendra Pradhan said charted
accountants are playing a proactive role at the international front.
“We have
to drawn up a strategy with the aim to enable Indian professionals take lead in
international affairs and come at par with those from developed countries,”
said the Union Minister.
He also
urged the Indian charted accountants’ fraternity to strengthen the hand of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in ensuring a prosperous and developed country in
all fronts by doing their job honestly and ethically.
Among
others, Nalco CMD Ansuman Das, Puri MP Pinaki Mishra, ICAI vice president Mano
Frdnis also graced the occasion.

The
event will culminate on August 24 wherein charted accountants from across the
State will share their views.
