CUO to hold its 6th foundation day on Friday

Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: The Central University of Orissa (CUO),
Koraput will hold its 6th foundation day at its Koraput campus on Friday.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohammed Miyan would preside
over the programme while NALCO executive officer (M&R), Damonjodi Raj
Kishore. Mishra, would grace the occasion as chief guest.
On the occasion the meritorious students will be given prizes
and certificates, said a press release issued by the CUO.
Notably, the University was formally inaugurated on August 29,
2009 the then Union Minister of Human Resource Development Kapil Sibal in the
presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and many others.

Now the Central University of Orissa has an all India base,
running nine departments which provide education and training for the aspiring
students and youth.  
It also caters to the needs of the people of KBK region in
empowering them through education. The University is presently running Masters programme
in nine Curricula and research programme (M.Phil/Ph.D) in five fields.
