Odisha Minister ‘attacks’ scribes in Secretariat

Bhubaneswar, Sep 15:  Odisha
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Bijayashree Routray on Monday landed
in a fresh controversy with allegedly assaulting some mediapersons here at his
Secretariat chamber.

Source said the Minister physically assaulted certain electronic
media people who were questioning him about the Ghangapatana land scam.

Sources added that the Minister suddenly got angry and physically
assaulted an electronic media reporter.

Notably, Routray is in controversy over his department’s role
in the Ghangapatana land scam near Chandaka.

Meanwhile, many senior journalists expressed shock and concern
over Minister’s unparliamentarily behavior.
