Bhubaneswar, October 14: In a gruesome triple murder, a doctor,
his caretaker middle aged a man and his wife, were hacked to death in the Khandagiri area
under Khandagiri police station on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Dr Atul Chandra Meher, a
Surgery specialist, his caretaker Prasanta Behera and his wife. The attacker
was also nabbed and now undergoing treatment at the Capital Hospital.

The suspected murder weapon was found from him, said

However, the exact reason of the murder and the identity of the
accused is yet to be confirmed, added Sharma.

According to sources, the accused who also sustained injuries
during the scuffle erupted at the time of attack, after killing the trio rushed
to Khandagiri square with the weapon in his hand forcing locals to inform the police.

Following information, police rushed to the spot and found the
bodies lying in a pool of blood in the house. Meanwhile, the forensic teams
pressed into service and the bodies sent for postmortem.
