Bhubaneswar, March 26: One International non-schedule chartered
flight of Air China (Boeing 737) landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport
on Thursday. The flight which was directly from Beijing, China left for onward
journey to Zanzibar (Africa) on the same day.

The Biju Patnaik International Airport was awarded the
international status in October, 2013 and since then many international non-scheduled
charter flights have operated here.

Officers from Customs and Immigration department, in
addition to AAI, were present to handle the international aircraft movement and
all necessary preparations were closely monitored by the Airport Director,
Bhubaneswar.

satisfaction with the entire operations and hoped to start schedule
international operations from Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar
very soon, since Airports Authority of India has already made elaborate
arrangements by upgrading and re-furbishing the International Terminal, T2.
